Our 17th Century Smithy comprises of traditional methods of ironwork manufacturing. Our products are all handmade using coke fired forges and hand tools. We work using both Wrought Iron and Mild Steel depending on the clients specification. Most forms of welding are also carried out at our works.
The most common items we produce are:
- Railings and Handrails
- Door / Gate Furniture
- Fire Baskets and Dog Grates We We also carry out a wide range of Cast Iron repairs on windows, columns, fire places etc, by method of cold metal stitching, splicing or welding.
We can match or repair existing items and produce replacements whatever the age or condition. Clients can either supply their own drawings or we can design to specifications supplied.
Stately Homes that we have worked on include - Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall, Belvoir Castle and Ilam Hall.
We have also carried out work for The National Portrait Gallery, Lichfield, Coventry, and Derby Cathedral and many Churches in the area.
Extensive work including Cast iron and wrought iron repairs plus joinery work has also been carried out at Stainsby Mill for the National Trust at Hardwick.
